Kuwait City, Nov 26: Part of its extended strategic partnership with the National Union of Kuwaiti Students in the United States of America (NUKS USA), and in continuation of its efforts to support student activities abroad, Zain has sponsored the 39th annual NUKS USA conference held in Atlanta, Georgia. The event was attended by H.E. Ambassador of Kuwait to the United Stated Sheikha Al Zain Al Sabah.
Zain’s participation and support to this event, considered the biggest of its kind, came to reflect the company’s commitment as the main supporter of NUKS USA for over 20 years. Under this ongoing strategic partnership, Zain supports a plethora of programs and student activities held for NUKS USA members throughout the year at both Kuwait and the US.
During his opening speech at the event, Zain Kuwait’s Corporate Relations Department Manager Hamad Al Musaibeeh said: “This event presents an invaluable opportunity for us to engage with the biggest gathering of students abroad. Every year, we witness a great exchange of ideas and experiences between students and guests, and that is why we are committed – as a private sector company – to support such programs.”
“Zain has always been at the forefront of national institutions that support our young people, and this is especially true as the Kuwaiti community is a relatively youthful one, where young people make up its biggest part. For this, we continue to dedicate most of our programs towards supporting and empowering this vibrant segment.” He added.
Al Musaibeeh concluded: “We will continue to make our resources available to invest in the country’s next generation, because we believe that young people drive growth and progress in our communities. Zain’s journey to empower the youth will continue, and we consider ourselves a main partner in the success of this event.”
This year, Zain joined the NUKS USA conference with several exciting programs and sports competitions that created a sense of national unity, including a padel tournament for male students, a pickleball tournament for female students, on-stage entertainment segments, a special gathering for Kuwaitis in a café, and a sports panel that featured a local athlete who shared his experiences with the students.
For over 20 years, Zain continued to be the top supporter of NUKS USA by participating in a plethora of community programs, including the annual conference in the US, the annual orientation session in Kuwait, the local NUKS USA office to guide new students, academic sessions, cultural seminars, sports competitions, entertainment programs, workshops, and more. The programs witness wide positive reaction and participation from students every year.
Zain’s support to NUKS USA comes in line with its pledge as a leading national company to provide bright and enthusiastic young Kuwaitis with a great social experience, as well as listen to their ideas and experiences while they pursue their education abroad.
