KUWAIT CITY, Jan 16: Zain Group, a leading provider of ICT innovative technologies and digital lifestyle communications operating in eight markets across the Middle East and Africa, announces the selection of seven talented Kuwaiti nationals to undertake the milestone 10th cycle of the highly sought-after Generation Z (Gen Z) graduate training program.

Over the past nine years, Gen Z has so far developed over 45 graduates with the traits, skills, and cultural awareness, which apart from shaping and enhancing their individual and professional characters, has contributed Zain’s prosperity and the economic and social prosperity of the region. Today, many of the graduates have key managerial positions across Zain Group, Kuwait and Bahrain as well having secondments in other Zain operations.

The seven selected motivated graduates will undergo a 12-month rigorous development cycle that includes guided training by Zain’s talented workforce, affiliates and partners as well as participating in real-world projects across Zain’s footprint and beyond. Throughout the year, the Gen Z program will emphasize skills in leadership; digital delivery; innovation; growth, agile, and scrum mindsets; UI/UX design; product and project management; and corporate excellence.

The training will also align and prepare them to support Zain’s recently launched 4WARD- ‘Progress with Purpose’ strategy, which focuses on continuity, acceleration, collaboration and digital innovation. 4WARD is designed to foster value creation by fast-tracking the company’s evolution from a predominantly mobile centric operator into a purpose driven TechCo entity.

Furthermore, the graduates will be trained by and prepared to bolster Zain Kuwait's Digital Factory, the recently established operational model to centralize and accelerate the creation and managing of customer appealing digital products and services.

Bader Al-Kharafi, Zain Vice-Chairman and Group CEO commented, “The achievements and contributions of the graduate program’s alumni have immensely contributed to Zain’s success story over the last decade. Recruiting the right talent and succession planning is the lifeblood of any progressive company, and this program is a direct effort to continue to inject the best and most capable young minds into the organization, for them to develop into the leaders of the future. I’m very proud of the accomplishments of the Gen Z initiative over the years and I congratulate our new participants for their selection and wish them a motivating and rewarding year ahead.”

Competition for the seven places in the 2025 program was fierce, with over 450 applicants to the program, of which 17 were invited to individual interviews, with the last seven selected following a gruelling week-long job assessment engagement. The seven selected Kuwait nationals for 2025 Gen Z program are: Ayah AlBahar, Dalal AlAjmi, Noura AlAyoub, Rawan Jeraq, Sama Arrar, Sami AlQaddoumi, and Sarah AlAwwad.

The decade long evolution of Zain’s graduate program has reflected the company’s transformation from a digital lifestyle provider to a TechCo, delivering the participants an array of hard and soft skills, as well as technical and commercial development. The Generation Z 2025 graduate program remit falls under the “Build the Youth of the Future” pillar of Zain’s Corporate Sustainability strategy and the Inclusion, Diversity & Equity strategic pillar of “Zain Youth” (ZY), which fosters the growth of youth employees.
