Kuwait City, Nov 20: Under their strategic partnership to empower gifted young people, Zain and Sabah Al Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity (SACGC) – a center of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) have jointly hosted a special open day event for students from SACGC’s Joint Academy School for Giftedness. During the event, some of Zain’s outstanding employees shared their personal and professional journeys in STEM areas with the bright young students.

This special program came under the umbrella of Zain’s Innovation Nation initiative and KFAS’s Science Month, where the Foundation and its centers celebrate Kuwait’s scientific community and encourage young people to pursue STEM degrees and careers.

This event is one of the successful outcomes of the two agreements Zain recently signed with KFAS and SACGC, both of which focus on a number of strategic pillars and sustainable goals like fostering innovation in the community, investing in young people’s digital skills, supporting entrepreneurs and startups, and more.

The open day, held at Zain’s Innovation Campus (ZINC), welcomed a number of talented young students from SACGC’s Giftedness Academy, where various inspiring sessions were held to encourage the students to pursue their passions to drive their future careers.

In addition, a number of outstanding Zain employees joined the open day to share their life experiences and professional successes with the students. The employees represented some of the company’s core STEM-related departments like business intelligence, data office, drones division, and more. They also showcased Zain’s success stories in embracing tech innovation to drive digital transformation in the community.

The event also witnessed a hands-on session where certified trainers from SACGC introduced the students to the fundamentals of 3D printing. The session aimed at developing the students’ digital and technical skills to prepare them for the career market.

This program came in line with Zain’s Innovation Nation initiative, under which all of Zain’s innovation and entrepreneurship programs fall, especially within science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) areas. The initiative mainly targets the youth, and centers around a number of pillars, including entrepreneurship, investment, startup acceleration, supporting inventors, fostering innovation, and more.
