BUDAPEST, Dec 11: Mohamed Zubaid set a new Kuwaiti record at the World Swimming Championships in Budapest, Hungary, completing the 100-meter backstroke in an impressive time of 55.08 seconds. This achievement surpassed the previous national record of 55.71 seconds set by Abdullah Al-Thuwaini.

Expressing his joy, Zubaid celebrated this milestone, emphasizing the significance of representing Kuwait in a championship marked by extensive international participation.

Zubaid affirmed his commitment to striving for further accomplishments on both continental and global stages. He also extended his gratitude to the Kuwait Water Sports Federation's Board of Directors, led by Sheikh Khaled Al-Badr, for their unwavering support. Zubaid highlighted their efforts in removing barriers and providing the necessary resources to advance water sports in Kuwait.
