KUWAIT CITY, May 12:The supply of huge quantities of Iranian Zubaidi fish, about 50 tons, in the fish market on Tuesday did not affect the prices of local Zubaidi fish, which continued to sell at a rate of KD 8-KD 10 per kg, while the prices of Iranian Zubaidi fell to KD 5 per kg, reports Al-Rai daily.With the Holy month of Ramadan around the corner, consumers are increasingly concerned about the rise in fish prices, a concern that was expressed by traders in the market who expect the prices to increase signifi- cantly.A ten-kilogram basket of Kuwaiti Zubaidi sold at KD 100 in the Souk Sharq auction whereas the Iranian Zubaidi cost half that price.
