KUWAIT CITY, Aug 3: KUWAIT CITY, Aug 3: A head-on collision between two vehicles on Wafra Road resulted in the death of a Kuwaiti and injury to two other compatriots who were rushed to the Jahra Hospital for treatment, reports Al-Anba daily. The cause of the accident is not known but according to security sources, who rushed to the spot with paramedics after the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior received a report on the accident, discovered the man behind the wheel of one of the vehicles had succumbed to the injuries.

On the other hand, a 32-year-old Kuwaiti was injured when his four-wheel drive overturned on King Fahd Road, specifically between Jabriya and Mubarak Al- Kabeer. The victim has been admitted to the Mubarak Hospital.

In other news, traffic police last Sunday issued 1,362 traffic citations for motorists for obstructing traffic and heavy duty trucks for not complying with road safety instruction. A security source stated the traffic police also impounded one vehicle for making annoying exhaust sounds. The man behind the wheel, believed to be a Kuwaiti, was also in an abnormal condition. He has been arrested and handed over to the General Department for Drugs Control (GDDC).
