KUWAIT, Aug 18: National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim declared during Tuesday's parliamentary session that 10 MPs presented a no-confidence motion against Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anas Al-Saleh.

Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anas Al-Saleh.

He made the remarks after MPs debated the interpellation addressed to the minister from the MP, Shuaib Al-Muwaizri.
In line with the constitution and the parliament bylaw, Al-Ghanim indicated that the assembly could examine the request no earlier than seven days since presentation, confirming that it would be subject to voting on August 26 in the parliament.

The no-confidence motion can be effective if backed by majority of the MPs, except for those who double as ministers. The latters do not participate in the no-confidence voting.
