KUWAIT CITY, Oct 27, (KUNA): Kuwait’s General Authority for Roads and Land Transport announced on Friday that 13 transport projects would be awarded soon ahead of final signature. Director General of the Authority, Eng Ahmad Al-Hassan said in a press statement that the projects include extension of the Seventh Ring Road, extension of Salmi highway, northern territorial road and development of Al-Mutla’a road, besides finishing up the second and third phases of South Surra areas.Al-Hassan also pointed to a number of projects awaiting necessary approvals including development of the Fahaheel road, second and third ring roads, Damascus road, in addition to the fourth ring road, besides some intersections on King Fahad Highway, west Abdullah Al-Mubarak area towards Kabd area. The next projects which are also awaiting approvals including development of Thahar road and completion of the last phase of the first ring road linking the Grand Mosque, the Justice Palace, the Sulaybiyah area and the Industrial Nuaim area, he added.
