KUWAIT CITY, May 14: Security operatives attached to Ahmadi Command arrested five boys and four girls dancing in front of a chalet at Kheiran while they were caught in a disoriented situation. Officers at the Operations Room received information about activities of the youths, so the officers were dispatched to the scene and arrested them with liquor. They have been referred to the authority.

Meanwhile, driving in the opposite traffic direction exposed four youths to police arrest. The officers also caught them in possession of some pills containing shabu and other drugs at Jahra stables. The officers mounted a checkpoint in front of the stables when they sighted the youths driving in the opposite direction. The boy who drove the car could not produce a license, so they were all ordered to alight for a check, which led to detection of the drugs. The arrested youths have been referred to the authority.

KUWAIT CITY, May 14: An Asian expatriate was arrested at Kuwait International Airport for attempting to smuggle 30,000 narcotic pills into the country, reports Al-Anba daily. According to sources, airport customs offi cers were observing the passengers who arrived at the airport from an Asian country when they noticed the nervousness of one of them. They checked his luggage to fi nd 30,000 narcotic pills secretly hidden in his suitcase. He was arrested and referred with the confi scated narcotic pills to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.

Egyptian boy arrested: A 16-yearold Egyptian boy was arrested last Thursday for stealing the luggage of passengers from the departure lounge of Kuwait International Airport, reports Al-Shahed daily. According to a security source, Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Major General Abdulhameed Al-Awadi issued strict instructions to arrest the individual who has been stealing the luggage of passengers, after he received several complaints in this regard.

A team was formed for investigations and they eventually managed to fi nd and arrest the suspect, who is a 16-year-old Egyptian boy, in Khaitan area. The stolen objects including passports, money and smart phones were found in his possession. He was referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
