KUWAIT CITY, Nov 19: Hawalli securitymen apprehended four sisters and a lady from an unnamed Gulf country in possession of illicit pills known in the local market as ‘Larika’. A security source said the officers were on a round of the aforementioned area when they spotted the vehicle of the suspects moving in an erratic manner and ordered the driver to stop for checking. They found the illicit substance on them. All five ladies have since been referred to concerned authorities. Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti citizen and a GCC national were arrested in possession of illicit drugs by Jahra securitymen who found them sleeping in a car at Jahra Industrial Area. They were referred to concerned authorities for necessary action. 20 arrested: General Department of Public Relations and Security Media stated the Department of Domestic Manpower affiliated to the General Department of the Resident Affairs conducted inspection tour of several offices that deal in domestic workers in Ahmadi Governorate and arrested 20 domestic workers for violating residency law. They were referred to concerned authorities for legal action. Angry lover: A Kuwaiti citizen born in 1988 was arrested by security operatives after he posted a video on social media in which he shattered the windscreen of a Kuwaiti woman’s vehicle in Eqaila area and stole her mobile phone. The suspect is said to have surrendered to the Qaraiwan police station after the incident and confessed breaking into his girlfriend’s vehicle to steal photos from her mobile. Verbal assault: A person yet-to-be identified verbally assaulted an Arab expatriate in Sharq area and ran away. The victim filed a complaint with officers at Sharq police station and reported the incident, saying a person inside a Jeep verbally assaulted him and fl ed the scene.
