KUWAIT CITY, May 18: The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced 841 new coronavirus (COVID-19) infections in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 15,691, while 6 deaths were reported as well bringing the fatalities' toll up to 118.

In the daily press briefing, Health Ministry spokesperson Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said that 161 patients were in intensive care.

 All new cases of corona infection are related to contact and are under investigation among them are 232 Indians, 194 Egyptians, 162 Kuwaitis and 63 Bangladeshis, and the rest of the cases are of other nationalities

Health areas: 284 Farwaniya, 212 Hawally, 166 Ahmadi, 97 Jahra, and 82 in the Capital

Areas: Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh 99, Farwaniya 77, Hawally 75 and Salmiya 64

Earlier today, the Ministry announced the recovery of 246 patients, bringing the total to 4,339 recoveries

He urged citizens and residents to continue adhering to preventing and precautionary measures against the pandemic
