KUWAIT CITY, June 11: In a firm stance against smuggling and drug-related activities, His Excellency Sheikh Talal Al-Khalid, the Minister of Interior, commends the ongoing efforts of security personnel. Their relentless dedication aims to combat smugglers and drug dealers, ensuring public safety.

The General Department for Narcotics Control, operating under the Criminal Security Sector, successfully apprehended six suspects involved in possession of approximately three kilograms of various narcotics, along with 1364 tablets of psychotropic substances. Furthermore, two firearms and a pistol were seized during the operation.

Upon questioning, the defendants confessed that the confiscated items were intended for trafficking and abuse. Consequently, they and the seized items have been handed over to the appropriate authorities to initiate the necessary legal procedures against them.

His Excellency Sheikh Talal Al-Khalid Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah reiterates the Ministry's commitment to combat this detrimental issue and confront those involved in the distribution of poisonous substances. The Ministry urges the public to collaborate with security personnel and report any suspicious activities or incidents through the emergency hotline (112) or the General Administration for Drug Control hotline (1884141).
