KUWAIT CITY, Jun 12: Informed health sources revealed that 350 male and female nurses stranded in India will arrive in the country today, 300 others will arrive tomorrow, according to the instructions of the Minister of Health Dr. Basel Al-Sabah and Under Secretary Dr. Mostafa Reda.

The sources told that these nurses will work in health facilities according to the needs of public and field hospitals operating for COVID patients.

The ministry provided them with housing in Jaber Al-Ahmad for a period of two days, smear test reports are awaited after that they will be accommodated in their original homes after ensuring that the results of their smears are negative.

The coordination with the Indian authorities is what led to the return of the stranded nurses, before the crisis the nurses had left Kuwait and got stuck in their countries.

Contacts are underway with a number of other countries to return medical, nursing and technical staff to Kuwait during the coming period, after these countries agree to return their nationals from these fields.
