KUWAIT CITY, July 5: The Ministry of Interior has deported 7,808 expatriates from Kuwait during the first half of 2021, reports Al-Rai daily. The Directorate-General of Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Interior Ministry stated the expatriates were deported for various reasons, including violating the residence law, committing crimes, traffic violations and other issues.

The ministry said the security campaigns will continue to maintain law and order and called on citizens and residents to cooperate with the security authorities. The security sources said about 700 expats are awaiting deportation mainly from Sri Lanka and Vietnam. As soon the travel restrictions in these countries are lifted they will be deported to their respective countries.
