RAMALLAH, May 31: Al-Aqsa Mosque opened its doors to worshipers today, Sunday, 70 days after its closure, as part of measures to combat the virus (the new Corona - Covid 19).
"We congratulate you for the opening of the mosque," to be a blessed gospel and a start "for the reconstruction of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, with your prayers and your commitment to instructions," said the preacher of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, in a speech during the performance of hundreds of dawn prayers.
In his speech, Sheikh Sabri called on worshipers to adhere to the instructions for bringing the prayer rug, putting the muzzle, observing the distance and not shaking hands and other instructions.
The employees of the Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem had completed preventive and health preparations and cleaning operations to receive the worshipers.
