KUWAIT CITY, Jan 16: The Court of Appeals adjourned to February 10 the case filed against an individual, notoriously known as “the killer of Farah Akbar”, to summon a doctor and paramedic, and to obtain the records of the security cameras of Adan Hospital in relation to the incident. The Court of First Instance had earlier sentenced the defendant to death by hanging. During last week’s court session, Lawyer Abdul Mohsen Al-Qattan, the defense counsel representing the heirs of the victim, reiterated his request to obtain the records of the security cameras of Adan Hospital.

According to the case file, the accused was charged with intercepting the victim’s vehicle on the street, kidnapping her and her daughter, and taking them to an unknown destination and then stabbing her to death with a knife. The defendant denied all charges, telling the court, “I work in the Army Intelligence, and I have studied psychology. I did not kidnap, kill, or threaten anyone”.
