KUWAIT CITY, Oct 10: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Works has asked the Ministry’s employees to wear appropriate clothes during official working hours, reports Al- Qabas daily. The ministry in a circular told the employees that it was noticed that several employees – male and female – wear inappropriate clothes while on duty, which contradicts human behavior and does not conform to the respect for the public office.

The circular stressed the need for all employees to observe appropriate clothing and adhere to what was stated in the circular.

In its circular, the ministry referred to an administrative circular it had previously issued in 2013 regarding the need for outward behavior to be consistent with due respect for the office based on what is stipulated in Article 24 of the fifth item of the Civil Service Law. The sources indicated that the Service Law obliges employee to maintain the dignity of the job and to behave in a manner consistent with due respect.
