KUWAIT CITY, May 19: An unidentified Filipino woman has filed a complaint with the Hawalli Police Station accusing her Arab boyfriend of attempting to blackmail her by posting her semi-nude pictures on social networking websites, reports Al-Anba daily. According to the complainant, she was in love with the young man after he promised to marry her and allowed him to take her pictures. Due to repeated disagreements, the couple parted and he then began to blackmail her. The suspect reportedly asked her to pay KD 1,000 to get back her pictures and threatened to post them on the website if she refused to pay the money. When police summoned the man for interrogation, he denied the accusation. A case has been filed against him at the area police station.

Liquor with cabin crew: Director-General for Investigations at the Kuwait International Airport Colonel Abdullah Al-Malek has referred a Syrian pilot and a female cabin crew to the Public Prosecution for attempting to smuggle 10 bottles of alcohol into the country, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily added, the bootleggers have been released on bail pending investigation. According to security sources, when the suspects arrived at the airport, they looked confused. Their baggage was searched and inspectors found alcohol. During interrogation they admitted to the charge and said they did not intend to sell but was for personal consumption.
