KUWAIT CITY, Oct 1: Farwaniya securitymen arrested a butcher for selling meat of dead sheep, reports Al-Shahed daily. A security source said investigations conducted by securitymen revealed the butcher transported dead sheep to his home in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh to prepare the meat which he sold in his shop. At the time of arrest, two dead sheep were seized from the butcher’s home and an undisclosed quantity of meat of dead sheep from his shop.

22 liquor bottles seized: An Asian expatriate was arrested in Fahaheel area in possession of 22 bottles of locally manufactured liquor. According to security sources, securitymen were patrolling Fahaheel area when they noticed a man carrying a carton of bottles on his shoulders. When he noticed the patrol vehicle, he started running but securitymen chased him and eventually caught him. They checked the carton and discovered 22 bottles of locally manufactured liquor. When questioned, the suspect confessed that he was heading to one of his clients to sell the bottles. He was arrested and referred with the liquor bottles to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action. Meanwhile, an Indian expatriate was arrested in Mahboula area for consuming alcohol.

Girl threatens mom with knife: Police arrested a girl who ran away from the family house after threatening her mother with a knife, reports Al-Rai daily. The mother called the Operations Unit in the Interior Ministry saying her daughter threatened her with a knife as she prevented her from using her cell phone on grounds that she is wasting time and neglecting her studies.

4 held for assaulting Indian: Salwa securitymen arrested a Saudi national and three Bedouns for assaulting and robbing an Indian, reports Al-Rai daily. The Indian provided police with information about the SUV that the thieves used, which led to their identifi cation and arrest in Salmiya. A police source said the four suspects have criminal records and are drug addicts, adding that the Indian identifi ed them in a police lineup.
