KUWAIT CITY, Jan 31: The Commercial Court obliged a real estate company to pay KD 276,000 to a Kuwaiti woman, as well as temporary civil compensation worth KD 5,000, for deluding her with investment projects in Turkey and Dubai, says Al-Seyassah daily. According to the case file, Lawyer Ali Al-Ali had filed the case on behalf of the Kuwaiti woman. He said there are evidence confirming that his client and the real-estate company signed an investment contract which stipulated his client to pay a sum of KD 276,000 for investing in projects in Turkey and Dubai, in accordance with the conditions set forth in the contract.
However, the company breached the contractual obligations, which inflicted material damage on his client, as she missed the opportunity to use the amount owed to her by the defendant in other activities and was deprived of benefiting from the amount throughout that period. She also suffered moral damages through the psychological distress she felt as a result of the feeling that she lost all her savings
