KUWAIT CITY, Feb 15: “No directives have been issued to any governmental authority to end the services of expatriates who reach the age of 65”, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) affirmed in a press statement issued on Thursday.CSC issued the press statement in response to the reports published in a local newspaper and on social media which claimed that CSC had issued a directive to terminate the contracts of expatriate employees whose ages are 65 years or above.CSC explained that terminating the service of an expatriate employee of any governmental authority after he/ she reaches the age of 65 does not require a decision from the governmental authorities but will be based on article No. 32 of decree No. 15/1979 concerning civil service.
