KUWAIT CITY, April 25 : The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has agreed to open the door for appointments to jobs in the legal department of the Kuwait Municipality after a period of hiatus that lasted for many years, reports Al-Qabas daily. In a letter sent by the Head of CSC Maryam Al-Aqeel to the Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Dr. Rana Al-Fares, Al-Aqeel explained that CSC, during its meeting No. 1/2022 held on March 19, agreed to end the suspension of appointment to jobs in the legal department in the Kuwait Municipality.
It agreed to open the door for appointment procedures for “attorney B grade” vacancies in accordance with the conditions contained in Dr. Al-Fares’ Decision No. 84/222 regarding the controls for appointment to these jobs. CSC’s approval came after the municipality sent its responses to CSC’s inquiries concerning the appointment controls decision, as well as the inclusion of the request to provide the grades and financial credits necessary for appointment in these jobs within the draft budget of 2022/2023.
The municipality indicated that the inclusion of the request is suspended until the issuance of the approval of CSC, adding that coordination has been made with the Fatwa and Legislation Department to set the acceptance mechanism so that the best elements can be selected. Dr. Al-Fares had issued a ministerial decision to specify the terms and conditions for appointment to the position of “attorney B grade”, and linked the appointments to the approval
