KUWAIT CITY, June 7: Three women – an Egyptian and two Indians – were arrested for begging, reports Al-Seyassah daily. In a press statement, the Public Security Sector explained that one of the arrested women is a 1972-born Egyptian who works in a ladies saloon.

The second suspect is an Indian woman who works as a housemaid and the third suspect is also an Indian woman who was reported as absconding after she ran away from her sponsor’s house. Securitymen confiscated the money that were found in their possession and referred the suspects to the concerned authorities for taking necessary steps to deport them.

Ministry of Interior’s Public Relations and Security Media Department said the sponsors of these women were called for taking necessary legal actions against them.

It warned people against dealing with beggars, insisting that any expatriate caught begging will be deported immediately and their sponsor will be blacklisted such that the latter will not be allowed to bring anyone from overseas under their sponsorship.
