KUWAIT CITY, March 6: “Deportation is the fate of the expatriates who violate the curfew. Citizens who do so will be referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action after a case is filed against them”, says the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs in the Ministry of Interior Major General Faraj Al-Zoubi.

He went on to say, “The field security teams will be distributed throughout all parts of the country from 4:00 pm on Sunday. No one will be allowed to override the decision of the Council of Ministers. All violators will be handled with firmness and severity, and there will be no exceptions. Exploiting the barcode facility, which is intended for hospital visits and other such needs, for purposes for which they were not issued will not be allowed”.

Meanwhile, security sources affirmed that the residency of the barcode holder must be of the institution for which he or she is working. They indicated that those who use the barcode of an employer but work for another employer will be considered as breaching the law and exposing themselves to legal accountability.
