KUWAIT CITY, Sept 22:  Dozens of employees at Kuwait University were found to be infected with coronavirus after the random swab testing last week, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting sources.

Sources said the university, in coordination with a team from the Health Ministry, conducted the random swab testing as part of measures to curb the spread of covid-19.  Sources revealed that around six percent of the total number of employees who underwent swab testing are infected with the virus.

Sources added the medical team conducted 882 swab tests in four campuses -- Sabah Al-Salem University City, Khaldiya, Shuwaikh and Jabriya; indicating the number of infections reached 52.  Sources confirmed that the work centers in these campuses took the necessary measures in dealing with those infected, most of whom are asymptomatic.

Sources went on to say that 3.8 percent of those infected work in Khaldiya campus, 5.4 percent in Shuwaikh, 7.8 percent in Shadadiya and seven percent in Jabriya.
