KUWAIT CITY, Aug 15: Egyptian internal medicine specialist at Amiri Hospital Dr Awad Abdel Hamid -- one of the doctors working on the frontlines of the fight against coronavirus – died after he recovered from corona, reports Al- Qabas daily quoting sources. Sources disclosed the doctor was found infected with coronavirus in late May while at work and he was admitted to the intensive care when his condition worsened. Sources confirmed the doctor recovered and was discharged from the hospital.
Sources said the doctor had difficulty in breathing later, so he was rushed to Mubarak Hospital where he was declared dead upon arrival. Sources added tests are currently being conducted on samples taken from his body to determine the cause of death -- whether he got infected with the virus again or not
