KUWAIT CITY, Feb 10, The Ambassador of Ethiopia to Kuwait, HE Mohammad Gudeta was quoted as saying the embassy has yet to receive ‘full’ information about the Ethiopian housemaid who has reportedly stabbed to death the daughter of her sponsor, reports Al-Rai daily. He told the daily, the embassy has delegated officials to the Interior Ministry and the hospital to get more details about the incident. However, at the moment there has been no new official information, but the envoy has expressed his regret and sent his condolences to the family of the deceased.
Driver found drunk: An unidentified Kuwaiti has handed over his Indian driver to the Mubarak Al-Kabir police, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, this happened after the Kuwaiti caught the driver under the influence of alcohol and also found a bottle of booze in his room. The Indian has been referred to the authorities to prepare his deportation from the country.
‘Complaint false’: When Egyptian Mohammad Morsi Younus filed a complaint with the Egyptian security authorities accusing a Kuwaiti woman of hiring Egyptian thugs to abduct his two brothers and one of their sons and shooting a fourth man in the leg and causing him injuries, investigations carried out by the Egyptian authorities proved the complaint was false and malicious, reports Al-Rai daily. The three men who have been reported abducted and missing are believed to be well and during interrogation with the concerned authorities nothing of the sort had happened to them. To the contrary it has been reported Younus had earlier been accused of swindling the Kuwaiti woman.
Wanted woman held: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti woman who was wanted by law in connection with three crimes, including one filed by her sister-in-law, accusing the latter of assaulting her, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, the woman was taken into custody by the Mubarak Al-Kabir police while driving in the governorate.
