KUWAIT CITY, Oct 23: A video circulating in the social media of the well-known healer Jassem Bahman, in which he talks about the Ministry of Health’s attempt to close his ‘office’ in the Sabah Al-Salem area has sparked wide ranging reactions, reports Al-Qabas daily. In an explanation of what has been circulated, Bahman told the daily that he received a notification in the form of a complaint from the Ministry of Health related to its claim that he uses medical tools and supplies in surgical operations, pointing out that immediately after receiving the notification, he went to the General Department of Criminal Investigation, where he was charged with committing four violations and the complaint was referred to the Public Prosecution Office.

Bahman added that he was surprised by the report submitted by the Ministry of Health, because he has an office in his home and did not open a clinic, and since the beginning of his activity, he has not asked for any financial assistance as a result of the treatment, pointing out that he treats about 50 people a day for free, since 1987.

Bahman pointed out that during those nearly 35 years, he did not take any money to treat people whatever the condition, and that those who flocked to him were not only citizens and residents, but people came also from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. He added, he is astonished by the complaint filed by the Ministry of Health which he calls an attempt to close his Diwaniya and prevent him from treating people He explained that he never claimed to be a doctor, but rather an ordinary healer who provides his services to various segments for free. The daily tried to contact the Ministry of Health to know the reasons for closing the facility but it did not get an answer.
