KUWAIT CITY, Feb 11: Police have arrested a Filipina house worker for stealing KD 4,600 from the home of her female Kuwaiti sponsor, reports Al-Anba daily. After the complaint was filed by the sponsor personnel from the Forensic Department took the fingerprints from the safe and they matched the fingerprints of the Filipina. Police then tracked the calls on the cell phone of the housemaid with the help of GPS and seized her from the home of a friend. She has been referred to the authorities in spite of her denial.No fault of mine: A Kuwaiti has filed a complaint with the Residence Affairs Investigation Department accusing an unidentified person of recruiting a domestic helper under his sponsorship in 2003 and then reported her absconding without his knowledge, reports Al-Shahed daily. The complainant said he was shocked when he found his file blocked and unable to complete any transaction before paying for the air ticket of the maid who is in police custody. He added the file of the housemaid has gone missing. The complainant has appealed to the Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah to open an investigation.
