KUWAIT CITY, June 19: A Filipino was arrested at Salwa police station as she tried to sell stolen gold from her Kuwaiti sponsor's house. She wanted to leave Kuwait with gold but she was advised at the airport she will need to produce invoices against the gold.
She tried to sell inside Kuwait and escape with the money to the Philippines, but her attempt failed as she has no purchase invoice. Earlier a Kuwaiti citizen had informed the police station that his Filipino maid suddenly disappeared and had stolen her passport and jewelry worth 2500 KD.
