KUWAIT CITY, April 30: Chief of the Kuwait Fire Force, Lieutenant-General Khaled Al-Mekrad, toured Thursday evening the fire stations in charge of securing mosques and Souq Al Mubarakiya, in order to see the progress of the work of these points and the plan that was implemented to protect the visitors of places of worship and Souk Al Mubarakiya.

The force said in a press statement that the tour started from Souk Al Mubarakiya point and was received by the Director of the Capital Governorate Fire Department, Colonel Ahmed Hammoud, who briefed Lieutenant-General Al-Mekrad on the tasks assigned to the fire station and praised their efforts and full concern for the safety of the market’s visitors, citizens and residents.

Then Lieutenant-General Al-Mekrad visited the fire station in charge of securing Al-Rashid Mosque in the Al-Adiliya area. He was received by the Director of the Central Operations Department, Colonel Saad Taha Yassin, and praised the readiness of the firefighters and the rest of the supporting bodies. Al-Mekrad concluded his tour at the fire station located in the Bilal Bin Rabah Mosque in Al-Siddiq District, where he thanked the efforts of the force men at the station to secure the appropriate atmosphere for worshipers in cooperation with their colleagues from government and volunteer agencies. Lieutenant-General Al-Mekrad was accompanied on the tour by the Director of the Public Relations and Media Department, Colonel Muhammad Ibrahim. (KUNA)
