KUWAIT CITY, July 4 : Kuwaiti astronomer Dr. Saleh Al-Ujairi said the first day of the month of Dhul al-Hijjah this year will be on Sunday, July 11, and accordingly, Tuesday, July 20, will be the first day of Eid Al-Adha.
Dr. Al-Ujairi said in a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Sunday according to the Al-Ujairi astronomical calendar the crescent will be seen on Saturday, the 10th of July, at 4:18 am and the sun will set on the same day at 6.51 pm. He stated, Sunday, July 11, will be the first day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah, and accordingly,
Monday, July 19, will be the day of standing on Arafat, on Tuesday, July, the first day of Eid al-Adha for the year 1442 AH. He pointed out the Al-Ujairi Scientific Foundation is calculating the times and moons according to scientific astronomical standards. On this honorable occasion, Al-Ujairi congratulated HH the Amir, HH the Crown Prince, HH the Prime Minister and the honorable Kuwaiti people. (KUNA)
