KUWAIT CITY, June 23: In a relentless effort to combat the grave threat of drug smuggling and promotion, safeguarding the well-being of the nation's youth, the Criminal Security Sector has taken decisive action.

The General Department for Narcotics Control, operating under the Criminal Security Sector, successfully apprehended five individuals involved in drug-related offenses. Among them were three individuals of Gulf nationality, an Bedoun, and another of Bangladeshi nationality. In their possession, law enforcement discovered approximately 2 kilograms of hashish, 30 psychotropic substance tablets, three firearms, and a significant quantity of ammunition.

Upon confrontation with the seized items, the defendants admitted their ownership and revealed their intentions to engage in trafficking and abuse. As a result, both the individuals and the seized contraband have been handed over to the competent authorities for necessary legal measures.
The General Administration of Security Relations and Media emphasizes the unwavering commitment of security personnel in confronting drug dealers and smugglers, employing a firm and unyielding approach to safeguard the nation's youth. It underscores the importance of collective efforts in eradicating drug-related activities.
The administration urges everyone to collaborate with security forces by promptly reporting any suspicious activities or phenomena to the emergency hotline (112) and the dedicated hotline of the General Department for Drug Control (1884141).
