KUWAIT CITY, Sept 23: A 20-year-old Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with the Sabah Al-Salem Police Station accusing two youths of burying her girlfriend after she died from an overdose of drugs, reports Al-Anba daily.
In her complaint, the woman said she and two other women (including the deceased) accompanied the youths and they went to an abandoned house to consume drugs. When the victim died of an overdose of drugs the youths took her corpse in a car and buried her in the compound of the same abandoned house.
When she was asked what she was doing while the youths were burying the corpse, she claimed she was blindfolded and taken ‘somewhere’ in another car. She added her girlfriend and the two youths then threatened to kill her if she informed the police and left her in Umm Al-Haiman and escaped. Police are looking for the suspects.
Drugs with officer: Director-General of the Jahra Security Directorate Major-General Ali Mahdi has issued orders to refer a GCC securityman who works at traffic department sector to General Department for Drugs Control after he was caught in possession of drugs, reports Al-Anba daily. It has been reported, the suspect was arrested during a security campaign organized by the Jahra security department. At the time of arrest the suspect was disoriented and when police searched his vehicle, they found shabu. The suspect and the contraband have been handed over to the General Department for Drugs Control.
Drunkards in fight: Police have arrested two Kuwait is for drinking alcohol and fighting in public, reports Al-Rai daily. The arrest came after passersby informed the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior. The incident happened in Salmiya. The daily said both men have been referred to the concerned authorities.
Cars sold cheap: Personnel from General Department for Criminal Investigations have arrested a bedoun for stealing vehicles and selling them in the scrapyard at a throwaway price, reports Al-Anba daily. The suspect, identified only as N.A.K., was arrested by the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh police following complaints from several people in the area. Police then set a trap for the man and caught him red-handed. During interrogation he is said to have admitted to the charges. He also said he dismantled the cars and sold the parts. When police went to his house to arrest him, they found two stolen cars parked in front of the house.
‘Look after mother’: When an elderly Kuwaiti woman filed a complaint with the Rabiya Police Station accusing her son of changing the door lock of her home and forcing her to live in the home for the elderly he was summoned by the police and made to sign an undertaking to take care of his mother and not to change the lock, reports Al-Anba daily.
