KUWAIT CITY, June 19: Police have taken into custody an unidentified Kuwaiti who had been sentenced in absentia for murder, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, the man was arrested after someone called the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior when the ‘wanted’ man was seen sleeping near a public toilet with his pet dog. After the arrest police records showed the man had been sentenced in absentia for mistakenly killing someone.
The man, a former teacher, is believed to be jobless and homeless since he was thrown out of the house for failing to pay the rent for several months. Without going into details, the daily added, the dog has been handed over to the Environment Public Authority.
