KUWAIT CITY, Jan 27: An Indian, who stabbed himself with a pair of scissors and ruptured his bowels, was rushed to the Adan Hospital where doctors were able to save his life, reports Al-Anba daily. According to a security source, the suspect was behind bars at the Fintas Police Station and when the guards heard cries, they rushed to the prison and saw the man in a pool of blood. He was arrested for allegedly violating the residence law and reported absconder by his sponsor. The Ministry of Interior has opened an investigation into the incident. However, his condition is listed as critical. In the meantime, a case of suicide attempt has been registered.One dead: An unidentified person died on the spot and another was seriously injured following a traffic accident, reports Al-Anba daily. The victims reportedly crashed into the rear of a water tanker in Salmi. Both men had to be pulled out by firemen from the wreck of the car. The injured man did not carry any identification papers. The dead man is believed to be a Kuwaiti.
