KUWAIT CITY, Dec 15: Deputy Chief of the National Guard Sheikh Faisal Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah stressed the importance of supporting qualification and training programs and developing levels and leadership skills for National Guard officers to achieve the highest levels of combat efficiency and maintain the readiness of the forces at all times and in all circumstances.
The National Guard said in a press statement today, Thursday, that Sheikh Faisal Nawaf directed, after an inspection tour he made to the Sheikh Salem Al-Ali camp, to follow up efforts to achieve the goal of introducing the Guard’s helicopter to support state agencies in cooperation with the army, police and public fire force.
Sheikh Faisal Nawaf stressed the need for members of the Guard to benefit from these modern means and devices to raise combat efficiency, praising the Technical Training Center, which is an educational edifice for training military personnel in all technical disciplines and works to qualify technical cadres by holding specialized courses in cooperation with other scientific centers in the country.
He expressed his pride in the shooting ranges’ modern and advanced technologies and devices that contribute to the training of National Guard personnel on war operations and crisis management in accordance with the highest standards of security and safety. During his tour, Sheikh Faisal Nawaf listened to a detailed explanation of the advanced military units operating in Sheikh Salem Al-Ali camp and the tasks assigned to them. He inspected the combat and shooting fields, the technical training center, the simulation training fields, and the virtual reality, which provides a virtual environment similar to reality in which all individual skills and military tactics are used to improve the training skills in shooting, which is the basic foundation for preparing the military and performing their tasks efficiently and competently.
He also listened to an explanation about vertical flight during his inspection of His Highness Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Air Base and the courses that pilots attended in international academies in brotherly and friendly countries in cooperation with the Air Force in the Kuwaiti Army to play their role in troop transfers, search and rescue operations and medical evacuation.
