KUWAIT CITY, March 2, (Agencies): The Kuwait International Airport has replaced the fingerprint machines at the airport with iris scanners to run a check on travelers to prevent the transmission of the coronavirus disease, reports Al-Rai daily. The source pointed this has been done in coordination with the Ministry of Health to ensure the safety of travelers. However, the source said this does not mean passengers can escape from their data being checked such as to verify the identity and if there is a traveler ban on the concerned passenger.

Ten Iran returnees boost cases to 56

Ten coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were registered in Kuwait in the last 24 hours, taking the total number to 56, said the Health Ministry Monday. Ministry Assistant Undersecretary Dr Buthaina Al- Mudhaf told the daily briefing that the new cases are for patients who were in Iran.

All cases involve Kuwaitis, she affirmed, adding that all of them are in a stable condition and recovering.
