 KUWAIT CITY, April 5: Police are looking for an unidentified person for stealing KD 1,620 from the car of a Kuwaiti man which was parked opposite a commercial complex in Jahra, reports Al-Anba daily. The Kuwaiti in his complaint to the police said there is no damage on the car which shows the thief is a professional. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints.

Bangladeshi dies: Police are looking for a hit-and-run motorist for running over and killing on the spot a Bangladeshi while crossing the road in Wafra, reports Al-Anba daily. Police have found the numbers plate of the vehicle of the run-away motorist. Meanwhile, an unidentified 21-year-old expatriate died in a swimming pool at the sea front, reports Al-Anba daily. Paramedics rushed the expatriate to hospital but he was declared dead upon arrival. This is the first case of drowning registered in 2016.

Asian bootlegger held: Police have arrested an unidentified Asian for bootlegging and handed him over to the General Department for Drugs and Alcohol Control, reports Al-Anba daily. According to a security source a police patrol saw the suspect parking a bus on the side of the road and taking to his heels before approaching a checkpoint. Police chased and arrested the suspect and in the bus they found bottles of booze ready for sale.
