KUWAIT CITY, April 13: The Khaldiya Cooperative Society launched a vaccination campaign for its employees and workers and those working for shops inside the cooperative including those who deal with the society. This is done in the framework of reaching community immunity and vaccinating the largest possible number of the population. The employees of the co-op and other workers inside the coop, who number about 650, were vaccinated in the presence of the Assistant Undersecretary for the Cooperatives Sector at the Ministry of Social Affairs, Salem Al- Rashidi and members of the coop’s Board of Directors.

The chairman of the board of directors, Khaled Juma’a Al-Yaseen, said the vaccination process took place in coordination with the Capital Educational District, which allocated a school for vaccination, and in coordination with the Union of Cooperative Societies. He added the coop was keen to vaccinate all workers in order to ensure the safety of everyone, including shareholders, visitors, employees and workers and praised the response and cooperation of the Ministry of Health to the request of the society and the speed in securing vaccines and medical staff.

Al-Yaseen stressed on the society’s keenness to accelerate the pace of vaccination for its employees and workers, because they are in direct contact with the public, as well as in order to secure the safety of society, especially since the cooperative societies are considered the food safety valve for the country and must continue its work.
