KUWAIT CITY, Mar 07: Kuwait decided to stop flights with 7 countries those were Egypt, Philippines, Syria, Lebanon, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and India from March 6th till one week.
The circular from DGCA stated that all expats arriving and departing Kuwait from Egypt, Philippines, Syria, Lebanon, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and India who were present in these countries above 2 weeks are prohibited to enter.
Kuwaitis who are arriving from those countries 14 days quarantine procedures will be applied.
There were two government meetings, the first of which lasted about 4 hours, for the Higher Committee on coronavirus, and the second for the Cabinet headed by His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled reports Al Rai .
Informed sources revealed that the decision to stop flights will continue for a week to provide the necessary equipment to conduct the necessary tests on the arrivals coming to Kuwait and to ensure health security of people living in Kuwait and to combat the spread the virus.
The sources said that the cabinet meeting witnessed measures to confront the virus and how to prevent it in various sectors by various ministers.
