‘Japanese professors to provide guidance for Kuwaiti students’

KUWAIT CITY, June 10: Kuwait University will soon open the registration for expatriate students for academic year 2023/2024, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting sources. Sources said this is the second year that the university will accept expatriate students in a bid to improve its rank in international academic indices.

Sources clarified the number of seats for expatriate students has not been specified; indicating these students will enroll after the Kuwaitis and the children of Kuwaiti women married to non-Kuwaitis. Sources added the admission policy, number of seats in the faculties and admission of expatriate students will be presented in the next meeting of the Public Universities Council for approval.

Meanwhile, Japanese Ambassador to Kuwait Morino Yasunari has confirmed that Japanese professors will visit the country soon to provide guidance for Kuwaiti students, reports Al-Qabas daily. Speaking to the press on the sidelines of the Italian Embassy’s National Day celebration recently, Yasunari asserted: “It is good for Kuwaitis to get acquainted with Japanese culture.”

He also affirmed that his country welcomes Kuwaitis who want to study in its universities, especially since “the university curriculum in our country is distinguished and very useful, specifically in the fields of Science and technology.”
