KUWAIT CITY, Dec 2: The Ministry of Education is focusing on the completion of the construction of 26 schools in West Abdullah Mubarak, in coordination with the concerned authorities, reports Al-Anba quoting sources. Sources disclosed these schools are for all educational stages and are still under construction, affirming some of them are already in the final stage. Sources said the ministry is currently ensuring all the requirements are met before receiving these schools, asserting a large number of these schools will be ready for operation in 2022- 2023 academic year.

Sources added directives have been issued to prepare the educational and administrative bodies for these schools, as well as specifying the admission rate based on the number of teachers. Meanwhile, Acting Secretary General of Kuwait University Dr Mardi Al-Ayyash disclosed that the University Council recently talked about the proposal for the university to coordinate with the Civil Service Commission (CSC) before introducing new scientific courses, reports Al-Qabas daily.

In a press statement, Al-Ayyash confirmed that the council discussed the proposal with the Office of the Deputy Director for Planning; during which they tackled ways to strengthen coordination between the university and CSC in offering new scientific courses or specializations at the university, along with the creation of job titles compatible with these courses, before opening the door for admission of students to such courses.
