Government spokesman denies one of the ministers infected
KUWAIT, May 9: The spokesperson for the Kuwait government, Tariq Al-Muzarram, confirmed that it is incorrect of what was reported by some social media that one of the ministers is suspected of being infected with coronavirus.
In response to a question in this regard, Al-Muzarram confirmed in the press conference via video call held on Friday in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers in Seef Palace after the extraordinary meeting of the Council of Ministers that the government and since the beginning of the crisis of the new Corona virus follow the policy of transparency and communication with the citizen and the resident.
He added, "We are transparent and if there is any information we need to announce," we will appear "in public and speak at press conferences or through the official accounts of ministries and government agencies."
In response to a question about the Cabinet’s decision to allow exercise from 4pm to 6.30 pm in the evening during the period of a total lockdown that the Council of Ministers decided to impose in all parts of the country starting 10th May from 4 pm onwwards, Al-Muzarram said that this decision confirms the extent of keenness of the health authorities of walking, exercise within the residential area without using cars.
He explained that this is done as have to a healthy life for citizen and the expats. At the same time to the need to adhere to the precautionary health regulations and requirements, especially taking into account maintianing soical distancing and wearing any type of masks that cover the nose and mouth.(KUNA) -
