KUWAIT CITY, April 8: The General Department for Residence Affairs Investigation in the Ministry of Interior has arrested 75 violators of the residence law from Shuwaikh Industrial and Qurain Markets, in addition to home delivery service workers. The Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Ministry of Interior said as part of the efforts of securitymen who are targeting violators, 48 violators of the residence and labor laws were arrested from the Shuwaikh Industrial Areas and Al-Qurain Markets. During another campaign 27 violators of the residence law were arrested including home delivery service workers and referred them to the competent authorities.

Meanwhile, the department has arrested 40 expatriates of various nationalities for violating the residency and labor laws. This is the result of the recent extensive security campaigns in Hawally, Shuwaikh Industrial Area, Ardiya Industrial Area and Mubarakiya Market. In addition, eight expatriates were arrested for operating a fake clinic. They were referred to the concerned authorities for legal action. Also, the security authorities have arrested 11 violators of residence and labor laws of various nationalities from Farwaniya and Khaitan areas and referred them to the concerned authorities to take legal action against them, reports Al-Rai daily. They also arrested a street vendor in the Jaber Al-Ali area, and a beggar in Al-Mubarakiya market
