ISLAMABAD, April 1 :Pakistan on Wednesday decided to continue the lockdown in the country till April 14th as the coronavirus death toll reaches 26 with over 2,000 confirmed cases across the country.


Pakistan's National Coordination Committee on Coronavirus met here in Islamabad chaired by of Prime Minister Imran Khan which decided to continue suspension of all flights' operation within the country.
The goods transport carrying food will remain open, while medicines will be available for the public in all four provinces of the country.
In a press briefing after the meeting, Special Assistant on National Health Services, Dr. Zafar Mirza informed the total number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Pakistan has risen to 2,071.

He said that 28 patients have recovered so far, while the number of deaths has reached to 26.
Meanwhile, the number of COVID-19 cases in Afghanistan rise to 196 where four people lost their lives due to coronavirus, said Afghan Ministry of Public Health on Wednesday.

The ministry said that in the past 24 hours, 22 new positive cases have been confirmed where five people have recovered from the virus(KUNA) --
