KUWAIT CITY, May 6: An unidentified Egyptian woman has been referred for investigation for refusing to divulge the whereabouts of her husband who is accused of assaulting a Pakistani over a traffic problem, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily added, the Pakistani and the Egyptian couple were involved in a traffic altercation in Rawdah following which the Egyptian woman and her husband beat the Pakistani.

The woman was summoned for interrogation after the Pakistani filed a complaint with the police station because the car is registered in her name. During interrogation she admitted to the charge but refused to give details of her husband.

‘No deal on terrorists’: Assistant Undersecretary for Correctional Institutions and Execution of Judgments at the Ministry of Interior, Major-General Khalid Al-Deen said there is agreement with Egypt, Iran and India for the exchange convicts, reports Al-Shahed daily. Speaking to the daily, Al-Deen said this agreement is one of the vital projects to avoid overcrowding in prisons and embodies a humanitarian role in terms of human rights and the empowerment of families of prisoners from communicating with them in their own countries. He added, the procedural steps of this agreement will be completed in the next few weeks. Major-General Al-Deen said the agreement does not include terrorists, but is limited to specific issues.
