THE miserable mockery that the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are experiencing must come to an end. It is a shame for the Palestinians that the wasted ink would turn into compromising messages among those who cannot bear the burden of the injustice, oppression and death of three million people, because those around the negotiating table are talking about everything except about the ones suffering from the pain of the occupation.
Indeed, we say with bitterness that only the innocent people in Gaza are paying the price for the escapades of the mercenaries regionally, as they consider the defenseless people in the Gaza Strip as tools for achieving their own gains.
These mercenaries implement their agendas, and the only thing they present to the displaced and the scattered is slogans. This is after Israel destroyed 10,000 houses, killed 220 people – many of whom are children and women – and wounded more than 1,500 people.
None of the leaders of the “slogan resistance” got even one scratch. That is because they chose to stay in countries so far away that even the sound of the explosions cannot be heard. From these countries, they declare false victories, and cast responsibility for what is transpiring in Gaza on the Gulf states, when in fact they are the ones who poked the beehive.
We are not talking about Ziad Nakhaleh, Khaled Meshal, Ismail Haniyeh, and others who have been gambling with the blood of the Palestinians for decades. Their people will reject them before they are rejected by all of the Arabs, as they are nothing more than puppets in the hands of the Iranians who are seeking to make gains through Lebanese, Syrian, Palestinian, Iraqi and Yemeni blood.
Nevertheless, we ask the wise among the Palestinians – When did these leaders achieve victory for your people in order to continue to take it to the abyss more and more? Was it during the Nakba in 1948 that came with a series of endless Arab defeats both internally and regionally? Or was it in 1956 when Jamal Abdel Nasser was defeated even though his march had captivated the Palestinians through his claim of “throwing the Jews into the sea” but it resulted in hundreds of thousands of Palestinians being displaced and scattered? Or was it the 1967 defeat that led to the expansion of Israel to include all of Palestine, or the 1973 war when it tasted its first victory even though the Arabs did not know how to capitalize its gains from it? Or was it during the Israeli invasion of Lebanon that drove Palestinian organizations into exile, after it transformed into a de facto authority in an attempt to implement a scheme similar to the one that it failed to implement in Jordan in 1970?
O Palestinians, learn from Hassan Nasrallah and his gang Hezbollah. He immediately distanced himself from the rockets fired from South Lebanon, because he realized that his country could not bear the killing and destruction. He is also aware of the fact that the blood of Gaza people serves as a pawn in the Vienna negotiations between the Iranians and the Americans.
Nasrallah operates as per the popular Lebanese adage – “Hide your head when countries differ”... That is why he hid his head in the sands of Dahieh in Beirut.
The whole world today is talking about a two-state solution, because the reality requires reaching a compromise as the solution to end this tragedy that has lasted for seven decades.
In this regard, if the Palestinians do not take advantage of the present opportunity, they will relive defeats, calamities, more displacement, and killing, and they will lose their last hope for an independent state.
Therefore, there is no solution for them except to go to the negotiation table supported by the United States, the European Union and Russia.
