He explained that the Labor Affairs Sector is currently working on increasing the number of devices used to collect signatures within departments. The emergence of the new coronavirus infections will not disrupt the process, especially since it takes less than a minute to complete it. Al-Mutawteh urged business owners and companies operating in the private sector to visit their respective labor offices and register their electronic signatures in preparation for the launch of the new automated mechanism. He said the new system will enable business owners to complete all their transactions online without the need to visit the labor offices.

Al-Mutawteh indicated that, after the launch of the system, electronic signature will be a prerequisite for completing the transactions online, adding that the sector is considering receiving business owners who wish to register their signatures during the morning and evening shifts. He emphasized that the Labor Affairs Sector is currently working, in coordination with the Information Systems Center, on developing all automated systems for the labor departments in preparation for the launch of the new system.

Al-Mutawteh revealed that a review of the system screens has been completed, and a committee that includes sector officials has been formed to follow the implementation process and review the decisions of PAM in accordance with the endorsed mechanism for the system’s operation. He said, “Meetings were held with officials of labor departments to explain the mechanism for operating the new automated system. Supervisors were assigned to coordinate with the officials of the Information Systems Center to learn about the system and make necessary observations as well as train the departmental staff on how to operate it”.
