KUWAIT CITY, May 17: Responsible sources in the Ministry of Awqaf revealed that the members of a tripartite committee consisting of personnel from the ministries of Awqaf, Commerce and Industry and the Federation of Hajj Campaigns will soon carry out the task of controlling prices and monitoring services provided to pilgrims.

The sources told Al-Qabas daily that the committee will inspect the campaign prices and compare them with the equivalent services and costs provided by the Hajj campaigns to those registered in them. The sources pointed out that the Supreme Hajj Committee has discussed many future projects, whose implementation would reduce Hajj prices, especially since it was implemented in many neighboring countries and yielded many positive results, including the central registration for pilgrims, which allows the pilgrims to register with the campaign that provides the services that suit them.

The sources explained the committee also discussed a project to determine the segments, which would reduce the costs of performing Hajj, indicating that these projects will be presented to the Council of Ministers for approval.
